Research On The Optimization Disposition Of Information Resource In University Libraries Based On The Efficiency Principle

With the constant development of China higher education, the information resource construction which is very important in the construction of university library has been developing rapidly. However, due to the tremendous resource increase, multi-element of the resources carriers, the improvement of the network environment and the changed way of information resources utilization, the library resources configuration has become more complicated and difficult to choose. It is significant and urgent for university librarian to pay more attention to the problems of how to spend the limited fund and allocate information resources scientifically and rationally to meet the needs of academic subjects and the demands of teachers and students to maximize the overall efficiency of information resources.As is well known that there are many factors which may affect the optimal configuration of university library information resources, this paper attempts to study mainly on the perspective of efficiency .The paper put forward the research methods and contents based on the national and international research after analyzing the problems that the university libraries are facing with .The paper study on the following aspects as the current situation of library information resources especially the electronic resources ,the main factors that effect the construction of the information resources ,the evaluation principles and analysis methods of the efficiency of library information resources construction and how to optimize configuration of library information resources scientifically and rationally based on the benefit principle. Then the paper studies the some cases of China's representative universities on their construction and utilization of library information resources specially analyzes the case of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics library. As a result of the study, the paper put forward some suggestions on how to optimize the configuration of information resources .In the end, the paper makes some generalization and points out some prospect for further study.
