A Study On The Digitalization Of Information Resource And Its Construction Mechanism In China

With the dawning of the 21 century, informatization becomes a fashionable word of the age. In the information age, information ranks with material and energy to be the most important strategic recourses. With the development of the internet technology and digital technology, the requirements on information resources are gradually moving from the traditional form to the digital form. The flood of the world wide construction of digital libraries brings increasing attention to the digitalization of informational resources, and brings an international upsurge of the movement to digitalize the informational resources.Due to the early initiation, advanced technology, sufficient capital investment, the development of digitalization of informational resources has attained great achievement in both theory and practice. Compared with the oversea counterparts, the Chinese development of the digitalization of the informational resources is deficient in the related technology, equipment, qualified personnel. The capital investment in the field is not adequate, and the pace of the digitalization is slow and low in efficiency. How to change this situation becomes the key aspect in chinese development of the digitalization of the information resources at the moment.This thesis attempts a macro discussion of the solution to the problems in the field of digitalization of the informational resources. First, the concept of the digitalization is defined, based on which the characteristics are analyzed, and then the similarities and the disparities between the information digitalization in and out of China are pinpointed and the tendency of the information resource digitalization are predicted. The target of this thesis is to get a general view of the current situation and the developing tendency of the digitalization of informational resources in China.The fourth part presents a detailed analysis on the major existing problem in the procedure of the digitalization of information recourse, and summarizes the viewpoints and suggestions form some domestic scholars on the issue. At last, the author's opinion is propounded here: the problem of the digitalization of information recourse in China is the lack of a sound corresponding constructive mechanism in China.
