The project is focused on designing and applying SUPL Location Service Platform based on the OMA SUPL protocols. This platform will use to upgrade current CMCC Location Service Platform. AGPS is adopted in the platform. AGPS is abbreviation of Assisted GPS, which is developed from traditional GPS system by adding parameter from the location system in CMCC in order to shorten the location time and reduce the power consuming. AGPS is the most precise technology to date. AGPS Location Platform in this thesis is using AGPS to locate the terminal.The design of entire system and individual modules was described in detail. Moreover, the test of two modules (MLP and Management module) was carried out in the project with the results listed in the last two chapters of this thesis. The first chapter is background introduction to list the application of the program in reality. The second part is the detailed description and analysis of OMA SUPL protocol, main function of the system, workflow, platform model as well as individual modules.The third chapter is the design of entire AGPS system based on SUPL protocol, which included the name and function of each modules, the business design of the location service platform, system centre database, and the middleware we used.The forth section is the design of MLP module, by connecting MLP API to perform Le protocol. According to OMA SUPL, Le protocol is the access between SLP and location service application platform. In this system, the MLP has been separated by LSPP middleware.The fifth is the design and application of management module including its function and required techniques.The last chapter is the conclusion of entire project.
