GPS And AGPS Location Technology In The Intelligent Transportation System

This research project come from an enterprises project of Shenzhen company, it’s under the background of intelligent transportation application of Internet of Things, to study the basic principles and implementations of GPS and AGPS positioning technique in the intelligent terminal.Mobile positioning is to determine user’s location via a mobile terminal and mobile network, thus providing personalized service or resource information related to location. With the arrival of the era of 3G, high precision mobile positioning technique will provide a broad space for the development of the applications of the intelligent transportation system. This article first analyzed the domestic and international research and technology of GPS and AGPS positioning technique, and then explained the principles of GPS position from the composition of GPS, NMEA 0183 protocols , position calculation and the principles of DGPS; from the AGPS positioning processing, positioning calculation, terminal processing and location compute the medium coordinate conversion briefly analyzed AGPS positioning principles, and detailed demonstrates the Lup interface of the AGPS framework of the network standard SUPL of OMA , the SUPL architecture and business processes.The article then analyzed the applications of GPS and AGPS positioning technique of the intelligent transportation systems, and illustrated the GS/APGS subsystem the implementation process respectively from the development environment of GPS/AGPS subsystem, systems analysis and architecture, software interfaces design, module partition and implementation and for all areas. Discussed receiving positioning information and the extraction of information of the latitude and longitude with the key codes, and at the same time, brief analyzed the serial pont program.GPS/AGPS subsystem is not only used to GPS positioning, but also AGPS positioning and navigation. Meanwhile, GPS and APGS positioning methods can be alternative, make the system highly efficient, accurate and adequate. This system adopted modular design, made the system has good portability and reusability. GPS/AGPS subsystem will not only provide locating service for GIS systems and the collecting transportation information modularity, but also will play an increasingly important role in the continuing developing intelligent transport system.
