Research And Realization Of Location Service Platform Based On CELLID And AGPS Technology

After the large-scale construction of mobile network for ages,the telecom operator now focuses attention on the integrating the resource of the existing network,innovating businesses,improving the service quality and developing new market,with the purpose of getting back investment.Telecom develops many kinds of mobile value-added services,such as color ring,multi media message,mobile business,wireless application protocol and mobile Game which will be anther profitable point.As Olympic Games and the 3G communication approaches,the prospects of mobile value-added services are convinced by more and more people. And location service is the most potential one.Location Based Service - LBS,which is a mobile value-added service based on the services of mobile network or other technologies can provide location information for users.Nowadays LBS becomes daily use which can help users who are satisfied with LBS find the positions of themselves,the positions of shopping-malls,hospitals,banks which are related to our lives,and so on.The Location Service Platform - LSP which can both satisfied requirement and protect user's privacy is need to be built based on the existing devises and technologies with the purpose of popularization.The LSP discussed by this Paper is born of a business project for a telecom operator which the author participated.This LSP gives a flexible choice which can provide location both by Cell-ID and AGPS, and also provide privacy protection.In the project,the author participates the period of design and development that lead to be familiar with both the principle and the structure.The principle of location service is described in chapter 3,and Chapter 3 is a detail introduction to the whole structure of LBS and each implementation part. The LSP is the part which needs to be implemented by software.To satisfy the requirements of high access and rapid respond,this LSP is based on SUN SPARC+SOLARIS system and developed by C++ which is a typical choice for telecom applications.It based on Oracle database and also provide memory database which is developed by us in some critical programs.Modular design is supplied in this system,and socket,log process,queue are encapsulated which can provide uniform interface.Chapter 5 is an introduction to system design and Chapter 6 is referring to the critical algorisms and the implementation of the module for network location - MAP.
