Since the 2000, there has been a tremendous amount of progress in the global telecommunications industry, and in fiber-optic telecommunications in particular. Many of the related terms or buzzwords, such as broadband, very high bit rate and access are now quite common. With the rapid development of data service, consumer demand for broadband access has been increasing over the past few years with no stoppage in sight. The broadband market is in a high speed development period in China. However, as the optical fiber has been considered the most ideal material, the fiber-to-the-home has been the ideal scheme of the broadband access network. Recently, FTTH has been a hit research in the fiber-optic telecommunication industry. All kinds of the technology of optical fiber access have there own development period and market. The decision to use either of the two architectures depends on the services to be delivered and the cost of infrastructure deployment. The P2P architecture has its own advantages, such as the high security for the separate physical connection. And the P2P architecture makes it easy to manage from an operation, administration and management (OAM) perspective, since distances between connection points are well known. So this technology is worth research for the market and application. So we designed a P2P optical access system base the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology.This dissertation analyzes the technology of the P2P architecture and research the scheme of the system. In the first chapter, the trend and key technology of the optical access network are discussed. The second chapter introduces the schematic design of the P2P system. In the third chapter, the author bring forward the El assemble device's plan and discusses the hardware design and software debugging. The fourth chapter tests the function of the system.The main work of this dissertation is listed as following: 1. The architecture and the main technology of the P2P optical access network system is researched. Then under the study of the optical access network, a P2P system of optical access base on WDM technology has been designed. 2. This dissertation analyzes the El assembly device and make forward the scheme of the system. Also the author has done the research of the hardware and software of the E1 assembly device. 3.
