Intelligent Transport System is the traffic integrative management and control system which the advanced information, communication, automation, computer and network technology apply to in traffic management system. The Vehicle Montoring System is the most important port of the system.In this thesis, the development of Remote Video Monitoring Mobile Terminal for Vehicle Montoring System is described. The mobile terminal composed of the hardware and software is an embedded system. We analyzed the system requirements, specified the design goals, and proposed many technique schemes. Then, we selected the scheme based on PC/104 to implement image capture module, and established the system organization and architecture.In this thesis, we designed the Image Capture and the application program interface.In this thesis, the digital logic design of video processing system is studied. The integrity and standardization design flow and methods are summed up. I bring forward the standardization methods which map the image process arithmetic to Programming Logic Device. The advanced design method which include parallel pipeline, circle structure is described. In order to explain the design process of digital logic in video processing system, the scheme based on PC/104 to implement image capture module is introduced.In this thesis, the GPRS technology and GM47 wireless communication module are introducedIn the end of this thesis, a summary and the future direction of Remote Video Monitoring Mobile Terminal are analysed.
