Research And Realization Of Service Grid Portal Based On Jetspeed

Grid computing is a new technology which appears in recent years. By building a grid system, distributed resources (data, computing ability, storage ability) can be furthest used. Islands of the resources will be eliminated and the resources will be shared. The emergence of grid brings a new way to implement Enterprise Flexible Composition Services (EFCS) system based on Web Service. To support the business services based on Web Service, IBM puts a concept of Service Grid forward. The concept describes sharing and integration of Grid Service, which is service domain-oriented, and provides an extensive scope for the applications of Web Service.With the development of grid technology and implement of grid system, the problem of building grid portal is brought to the developers. Similar to web portal, grid portal is an entrance to grid system. Interfaces of the grid applications, which share resources and services provided by grid, are supplied to grid users. At the same time, the grid portal not only can be used as simple uniform web application interfaces, but also provide other useful functions such as security, search, cooperation and workflow.On the basis of applications and features of service grid, in this paper, basic components of service grid portal is discussed; the functions and architecture of EFCS supporting CIMS domain are analyzed and designed; the architecture of grid portal is repartitioned and the design of it is given.On the problem of portal constructing, a new way to construct service grid portal by cooperating portal component and grid middleware is proposed. The integration of portal components and grid components is achieved. The advantages of using portal frame named Jetspeed to construct grid portal are analyzed in the paper. The technology of portlet is used. Functions of the grid portal are distributed to the portlets, which can be customized, appended and deleted independency in the portal. By using the technology, it is easy to develop, distribute and update the portal; the developing cost is reduced; the developing speed and the stability of grid portal are improved.
