Research On The Development And Utilization Of The Library Of The Shihezi University Agricultural Literature Information Resources

With the advent of the information era, the agricultural information resources have become the corefactors of agricultural economic growth. University Library as aninformationcenter,shoulders the importanttask for school teaching, scientific research. The development of Library Document Information Resourcein Universities of agriculture and the use of point of view, although the configuration has a large number ofagricultural library information resources, advanced network information processing equipment and themodernized service means, but in the traditional development thinking and various factors, agriculturalinformation resources are not developed deep therefore, not to play the proper role. Utilization ofagricultural information resources is a common problem of low efficiency of the existing in Universitylibrary. Therefore, to explore a new service mode of university library, and the " user " as the center of theservice mode, has become the inevitable choice of development. Shihezi University library is an importantinformation source, the corps and Xinjiang agricultural research and extension of agricultural science andtechnology work in view of this, the user community the demand for documentation and informationresources of the library of Shihezi University agriculture as the breakthrough point, combined with thepractice of the library of Shihezi University for more in-depth, in order to attract users in an efficient, highquality, active service, make agricultural information resources play an important role in teaching,scientific research and local economic and social development; and also to make the innovation in thereform and development of the library of Shihezi University, and makes the agricultural informationresources are more fully developed and utilized.This paper systematically summarizes the concepts related to the development and utilization ofagricultural information resources, introduces the theoretical basis of university library informationresources development and utilization of agricultural literature, then compare and analysis the status ofexploitation and utilization of domestic and foreign university libraries of agricultural informationresources, learn the advanced experience of foreign countries, and find out the limitation existing in thedevelopment and utilization of agricultural information resources in University Libraries in China, namelythe traditional development thinking limitations, inadequate funding, attention degree is not enough. Onthis basis, the developing situation of the literature information resources of the library of ShiheziUniversity agriculture are wholly described, at the same time from three aspects of agricultural books,Journal of agricultural and agricultural electronic resources on the resource utilization of the system outline.And the demand of users of agricultural information resources as the empirical research, empirical analysisof the impact of the four major factors from the literature resources supply, service charges, service linksand procedures, quality of service requirements for literature information of the user, also analyzed theproblems of all kinds of literature resource, namely agricultural books lack of unified resource planning andorganization and coordination, resource efficient heavy hidden light; journal order disorder, periodicalresource management mode of single agricultural journals literature information resources; agriculturalelectronic resource retrieval technology information resources is not enough, the popularity of narrowaudience, the use is restricted problems; puts forward we should further optimize the structure of Library collection use of resources, attention; establish special database, complete database construction; activelycarry out the user-centered information service mode; strengthen the high quality staff training; expandservice areas; specification library charging system, improve resource utilization; effective communication,full development and utilization of agricultural information resources in Colleges and universities the sevenaspects of the establishment of the feedback mechanism, in order to provide certain reference value to thedevelopment and utilization of information resources of University Library in our country agriculture.
