Research Of Wireless Sensor Network Routing Based On LEACH

There are numerous nodes in wireless sensor network while individual nod resources are quite limited. The primary aim of routing protocol design is to save energy effectively and to extend life cycle of network. Routing technology is the wireless sensor network's core technology, as well as the hot point of research in China and abroad nowadays. Lots of new routing schemes are proposed in recent years. In future, wireless sensor network routing protocol should not only be able to use resource efficiently, but also to support its high mobility, and the ability of extending. Meanwhile the protocol should also possess QoS (Quality of Service) and security capabilities, and offer a well corporation between sensor nodes, thus fully play its role in various applications.Based on the analysis of existing wireless sensor network routing protocol, this essay especially focuses on the LEACH protocol. The main research work includes the following aspects:(1) The essay introduces the latest research of wireless sensor networks, and carefully analysis the system structure,features,relationships and differences between new and traditional network.(2) The routing simulation of the wireless sensor network performing ability is analyzed in this essay. The related technologies of the wireless sensor network are analyzed in this essay. It also does some research of the future application of it.(3) The features of the wireless sensor network routing protocol and characteristics of the three classifications are described in this essay. It also sums up qualities of routing based on the standards of network quality evaluation.(4) Some procession of wireless sensor network routing protocol nowadays are briefly analyzed in this essay, which indicates some existing problems, too. Based on those work done above, this essay proposes some resolving methods about general direction.(5) Besides, the essay mainly researches about LEACH routing protocol, and its working procession, advantages, disadvantages and development. It also compares LEACH protocol with MTE and LEACH-C protocol in aspect of consumption of energy and receiving of nodes data through simulation experiment on NS-2.(6) The LEACH-D protocol, which is developed on LEACH protocol, is proposed in this essay. This protocol is superior in saving energies to LEACH protocol through comparing results in this essay.Since wireless sensor network applications have features of diversity and complexity, thus those different applications have different requirements of wireless sensor network routing technologies. Expectation of realizing a general routing protocol which could deal with all those requirements of wireless sensor network is quite difficult. Improving the existing algorithm or designing a new routing algorithm according to specific applications, and giving network better qualities through optimization of MAC layer are expected in the future.
