Research And Development Of Mobile Web Services Based On J2ME

The rapid development of e-commerce advances the demand of application integration in enterprise and among the different enterprises. Howerver, the appearance of web services just provides a good solution for such application integration.Web services has integrated oriented component method and web technology advantage, uses standard network protocol and XML data format to communicate, it can make services compiled in any language and on any platform communicate with each other, not only the application integration in enterprise and among the different enterprises become true, but also the application integrate more fast and easily. So it is used widely in enterprises' e-commerce system. But most of this traditional web services' client devices are personal compucters. These devices have many disadvantages. For example, they are too heavy to carry conveniently, their starting needs some time, their connecting to Internet needs do some work, and so on. These disadvantages restrict customers's services requirement in spacial location, make traditional services can't be used in anywhere.With the development and implementation of the 3rd Generation mobile communication stratagem, the development of connecting technology on online devices and the popularization of personal communication devices especially mobile telephone in people's daily life, the research on mobile web services whose clients are portable devices like mobile telephone, PDA and so on has become a new research hotspot. The appearance of mobile web services has satisfied customers's spacial location demand. With the mobile web services, enterprises can achieve mobile official business and improve their efficiency, at the same time, the customers can obtain services like education, medical treatment, traffic, bite and sup, commerce, amusement and so on at anytime and at anywhere.This thesis has done some research and exploration on the application of web services in mobile communication devices based on J2ME by a customer service system which provides value-added service for customers. It starts with the status quo and developing direction about J2ME and web services technologies, then introduces the concept, architecture, characteristic of these two technologies in generally;After the introduction, it analyzes the development background and problem of this system, draws a solution:developing the client by J2ME, developing the server by web services, client communicating with server by JSR 172(Java Specification Request 172) optional package; According to this solution, it designs the developing scheme, architecture, function module, database of this system after analyzing the system's detail requirement; In the end, it describes the developing and releasing process of system's web services, the problem and solution in the client developing. For example, the implement and navigation of client's graphic user interface, the implement of session and the asynchronous response of client's request and so on. At last, this customer service system's successful running in mobile phone simulator makes the application of web services on the J2ME platform feasible.
