Research On Application System Of PDA Based On J2ME And Web Services

When the tradition software on mobile equipment is no longer able to satisfy with people's request, J2ME has already become the key technology because of its characteristic. Firstly this paper researches the background of issues, the situation at home and abroad as well as J2ME technology, focused on the J2ME technical specifications, platform features and architecture. Secondly J2ME and Web Services technology will be integrated, which achieves calling web Services by JSR172 and kSOAP, were compared, and made experiments on the mobile device simulator. Finally, according to the request of the water industry applications, relying on mature design concepts and design patterns, a PDA flood control system was designed and implemented successfully, which provided the accurate and reliable information for flood prevention. In the end, after summing up the whole paper, it is prospect the further research on the topic.
