After analysis the video collection system status, this paper puts forward a new video collection platform based FPGA and USB2.0. On this platform, we can verify kinds of video compression arithmetic, and transmitted the collected video data to PC by USB2.0, than we can deal with the data whatever you want. On other hand, in order to meet the different kinds of demands in different fields, we must take into account the rapid and real-time of this platform.The whole system can be divided four parts, including video collection,image process model,USB2.0 transmission model and video display model. The image process model can be selected according to our application. The main task of this paper is to design the collection platform. The detailed processing will not be contained in this paper. The video collection part based on the FPGA get the SAA7113 output signals, and save them into SDRAM; USB2.0 data transmission is one of the important work in this paper, it including firework design,driver design and soft design. Video display including collection VGA display and soft displayer.At the end, we present a summing-up and forecast of this paper.
