At present, most of the image acquisition equipments use analog camera as thesignal source and PCI as the computer interface. The image data in the transmissionprocess not only need to be clamped and filterd, but also need the A/D conversionmodule.This will increase system’s volume and the signal will be attenuated in thetransmission process; The flaw of using PCI interface is that it can’t connect too muchequipments and support the hot plug.This thesis presents a Camera Link+FPGA+USB2.0image acquisition solutions.We use the CCD digital camera as the signal source and develope a digital camerainterface which based on the Camera Link.We ues the USB2.0interface for datatransmission between acquisition card and computer.Using FPGA as the controller forthe image data acquisition and transmission control.DS90CR288A is used to change the camera signal to strings.Using DS90LV031asthe level conversion chip to realize the caramer’s trigger control. Using DS90LV019asa signal conversion chip for the camera and capture card serial communication.We useFPGA as the controller, by sending the control word to realize the camera’s triggercontrol.We design the serial communication module, through the serial communicationfor the camera configuration.By the separating of the received image data we canextract the effective image data.SDRAM is used as the external cache for the received image data.We call the IPnucleus to generate internal RAM to coordinate the receiving/sending data frequencyand SDRAM reading/writing frequency. CY7C68013A is used as the chip to design theUSB2.0interface. The firmware designing and the driver of change are completed andrealize data transmission through USB2.0interface. USB interface uses clock frequencyof48MHZ. we set the reading/writing frequency for24MHZ.Finally, MATLAB is used as the platform for the transmitted image data displayvalidation.Black and white images of8bits width and2048*2048pixels can be obtained.
