Because of electronics technique and computer technique developing so fast and their application in electronic measurement and instrument realm, the new test theories, new test method, new test realm and new instrument structure appear continuously. In advanced test and control system, we hope that the equipments can not only carry on a test alone, but they can correspond with each other, thus constitute the test system, even test network system and carry out the information share, through contrasting, synthesizing and auto analyzing numerously signal to get accurate judgment. The traditional test instrument is subjected to very big restriction in this aspect. Because of the above-mentioned reasons, and with the fast development of the electronics technique and computer technical and the price descending continuously, the traditional electronics technique design conception has been changed, which make partial function originally finished by hardware can be carried out by the software now.This paper introduces a type of high-speed data-acquisition and analyzing system: Virtual digital-storage oscillograph. The virtual oscillograph, we designed, consists data acquisition, parameter measurement, frequency spectrum, wave storage modules. The system uses FPGA as data buffer between chip microcomputer and high-speed A/D converter. Its sampling frequency is 1KHz~20MHz and its resolution is 12-bit. In terms of software design, most work is done to replant and re-develop the open-codeμC/OS-Ⅱon LPC2142. On the PC, This system is programmed by graphic language LabVEEW. The detail discussions on the design of the hardware and software are given in this paper.It has many advantages that the traditional instrument doesn't have, such as saving wave as permanent data ,using data at any time, displaying wave through two channels, cost low and extending function.
