Abstract/Summary:
A Military Automatic Test System (ATS) has been developed to be a necessaryguarantee for reliable running of advanced weapon equipments and battle platforms,which has already become one of hot subjects in the area of testing andmeasurement. However, the existing Automatic Test System for Aircraft Interphonemostly were powered by MCU technology, which circuit complexity and workingstability is not well. An Auto-Test system for Aircraft Interphone based on FPGAand LabVIEW is discussed in this paper, simplifying the system structure, providingon-site modify functions. The Automatic Test System is written in LabVIEW whichinterface is simple and easy to operate. The system uses a modular design concept, acombination of FPGA technology and virtual instrument technology which has beenused in the performance testing and regular inspection for the helicopter`s AircraftInterphone. The automatic test system consists of a digital signal generator module,data acquisition modules and system testing software.The whole jobs concluded as follows:(1) The design of a signal generator module. The Signal generator is based onthe Direct Digital frequency Synthesis technology and use of Cyclone II serialsFPGA chip of Altera Company, and high precision Digital-to-Analog Converter areused in this generator. The sine wave signal has the advantages of a good stability,the low distortion and high frequency resolution, carrying out a chronologysimulation and waveform emulation.(2) The design of a data collection module. The data collection module isachieved by the digital data collection card PCI-9114which based on the PCI bus,and design a signal conditioning circuit. The Labview software is used toprogramme the signal collecting and filtering procedures.(3) System test software design is the core of Automatic Test System,Labview software is used to programme the testing software. The softwareaccomplishes function of the test system by processing the sample data andcalculating the eigevalue of measured signal in real-time. It can finish all the testprojects, such as analyzing test results dynamically, storing data and carrying out the generate report.(4) At the last, The automatic test system is simulation tested, at the same timeeach simulation test results of function modulation are analyzed.In short, the Automatic Test System can finish the performance simulation testand periodic examination of Aircraft Interphone. The system meets the designrequirements and achieves the desired effect.
