With Chinese sustaining economic growth, the level of industrialization and urbanization rising, serious environmental pollution problems occurred. More and more attention was paid to the issues, and the government functional departments had also been took a lot of improvement measures to solve the problems. However, the environmental monitoring capacity was lagging behand, such as the detection method was single, the monitoring data was inaccurate, and the emergency monitoring ability was unsufficient, which was difficult to store and manage the monitoring data. In this dissertation, a wireless environmental monitoring system based on multi-sensor data fusion was presented by a collecting device of environmental information about the dust、temperature and humidity in real time. It was able to be transported by the wireless networks, which was composed of ZigBee and GPRS technology, and it achieves real time processing and monitoring of environmental parameters.In order to achieve the requirements of environmental monitoring data acquisition and wireless transmission, the ZigBee technology, ARM technology and GPRS technology was studied by the theoretical and experimental point of view, and the overall structure of this monitoring system was designed from the functional analysis of the wireless monitoring system to satisfy the requirements of the overall structure of the system, the hardware circuit and the overall monitoring system hardware had systematicaly been actualized.In order to improve the ability of environmental monitoring, a new neural network algorithm was proposed, and two-level fusion model established with the adaptive weighted algorithm and BP neural network.Through this algorithm, the accuracy of environmental monitoring data and judge precision could be improved.The software part included of the construction of embedded development platform, transplantation of μC/OS-Ⅱ real-time operating system, the preparation of hardware drivers, and the design of the software of the monitoring center which could achieve many functions, such as historical data view and data storage. Systematic testing and analysis showed that environmental data collection performance were qualified, the environmental data transmission was stable and reliable.
