The Application Of Data Mining To Hospital Information System

Data warehouse, OLAP and data mining are one of hot spots for the computer science. Many Industries applied these new technologies to their information system, and gained remarkable benefits. But the operations of hospital information system are limited to adding, deleting, updating and searching etc. These operations are only fundamental applications for database of HIS. So they are weak on integration and deep level analysis on data. Needless to mention their inability to automatic acquire knowledge. This paper designed and implemented distributed hospital information analytics system, which based on three-layer B/S model. It uses hospital information system's database as main data source, and applies data warehouse, OLAP and data mining technologies to provide not only intelligent analytical method and approach for hospital managers from enterprise managing point of view but also new mean and angle of view for hospital researchers from researching point of view.
