Research On Time Management Of Project Management

This paper is based on the project of project management system 'Program Console' of UTStarcom Telecom Co.,Ltd. and aims to search after project time management technology. It will discuss the main process which refers in the project time management and emphases on discussing of the theory and realization of project schedule workout, project critical path method and project schedule control.This paper analyses the project schedule which includes project task relation, task constraint type and task classification in detail. The project task relation includes 'FS', 'SS', 'FF', 'SF' these four types; the task constraint type includes 'as soon as possible', 'must start on', 'must finish on', 'start no earlier than', 'start no later than', 'finish no earlier than', 'finish no later than' these seven types; the task classification includes 'common task', 'milestone' and 'summary task' these three types. We can get a serial of formulas and conclusions which are based on the inter association, inter affection and inter function of these contents. On the base of these formulas and conclusions, this paper deal with task classification first, then combine to handle task relation and task constraint type, to give a complete solution of realization of project schedule workout, and particularly narrates the design idea, flowchart, production demonstration. In addition, with the project calendar management and Gantt Chart etc., this paper also gives some discussion briefly.This paper analyses the project critical path method in detail, through forward pass and backward pass, to get the project's critical path. Compared with the traditional critical path method, this method combines the task relation, task constraint type and task classification, so its function is more powerful, and its scope of application is more extensive.In project schedule control part, this paper discusses the main progress of project schedule control, and focused on the progress statistics, project adjustment, tracking the progress of the project.At last, this paper will compare the advantages and disadvantages between this paper's production and the international advanced production and give some improvement proposal and look forward to the bright future.
