Grid Portal Application Research Based On OGSA

The Grid technology is a new scientific computing pattern which connects all kinds of distributed and heterogeneous computational resources with the high-speed network to complete computational problems together. Grid combines the whole internet to form a super virtual computer and provides sharing of computation resources, storage resources, data resources, information resources, knowledge resources and expert resources.With the development of network and distributed computing technology, Grid application expands from traditional scientific computing to other fields such as commerce, manufacture and war industry. OGSA associates Grid service with Web service together, and the Grid architecture is tending to standardization. Today, the problem of Grid application is how to develop and use grid technology easily, which requires us conceal the complexity and provide a convenient way to user.As an important component of Grid system, Grid Portal is a bridge connecting the user and the grid, through which users can visit and operate Grid resources. Grid portal provides a uniform access interface based on web browser, reducing the complexity of using grid and accelerating grid development.This paper is organized as follows. First of all, the basic theories of grid technology is introduced, and the analysis of OGSA and WSRF is emphasized. Then the key technologies about Grid Portal is presented. Based on the pertinent technologies, a Grid Portal architecture design is proposed, and the modules design and modules achievement is accomplished.
