Grid Portal Research And Implementation

Grid is a new trend of Internet after conventional Internet and web,it represents an advanced technology and infrastructure. It combines HPC, distributed technology and Internet to reach the goal of integrating and cooperating every IT resource. Grid can provide high quality service and avoid lonely resource through integration and cooperation. Grid will extremely save resources and cut the cost of using resources through optimizing combined resources.As the tache of connecting grid resources and user, grid portal shield the interior detail of complex grid resources. Grid portal offers a better user interface, consistent accessing pattern and easy usage of the grid services, and solves the complexity in using grid computing resources.The key requirement of the grid portal has been researched in this thesis. An experimental environment of grid based on Globus Tookits and Java Commodity Grid is set up. A grid portal is imple- mented, the detail of design and implementation are presented. The principle of interface-dependency is followed during the process of design and implementation, so the portal can be independent of any version of GT and Java CoG, even special grid system. An algori- thm base on computer performance numeralization is put forward when designing grid resource management, which can locate the grid resource quickly and make the resource matching more fast and preci- sion. In the end, an grid portal framework prototype is proposed after designing and implementing the grid portal, which can make the development of grid portal more efficiency.
