The Research And Implementation Of Grid Data Management System

Grid is the research field with a great prospect. It is the third major wave after the tradition of Intenet and web, as the third generation Internet. Compared with the past technology, grid has the goal to achieve global scale Internet resource sharing and collaborative working. Grid is to be an information society infrastructure. But so far, its development is far from mature. It is facing many complex problems, such as information model, resource management, security architecture, pervasive computing and so on.Data as a critical resource in the Grid, Its management will play an important role in the development and application of the grid system without doubt. This paper is centered on the subject of grid data management, and described author's work of the following several aspects. First, study on the infrastructure of Grid and Grid Services'Design and Implementation; Secondly, Discussion of the implemention ideology and technology of various data management components in the Globus[1] system.Thirdly, through the use of command-line tools for data management components in the Globus system, analysis and implementation of a grid internal management system. Fourthly, research grid data management services and introduce how to integrate grid data management services into grid portal system.This paper and relevant experience not only laid a sound foundation for the further study, but also gained valuable experience for the development of grid application.
