| In digital TV production chain, digital TV set-top-box (STB) is a simple and complex consumer end product. I say it is simple to produce a set-top box is very simple, trade access cost is not very high, I say it is complex because the STB should be stable,reliable and powerful,however,it is a very complicated work, especially in the software system. As STB has its performance limitations and the requirement of real-time environment, it did not like the PC can support huge tasks. The lack of a complete development tool is also a very large challenge for embeded software developers.In this paper, as the digital television technology becoming more mature, in conjunction with digital satellite TV set-top-box products of Conexant (Shanghai) Corporation, we will make a fixed depth analysis on digital satellite TV set-top box reception system from STB hardware level to the upper module of the software system. This paper mainly contains the following aspects:First, this paper gave a brief introduction of the digital television, digital satellite TV and its international, domestic development.Secondly, this paper introduced some related principle and technology about the digital satellite TV set-top box reception system, including: television technology, digital satellite broadcasting system, source coding standards and channel coding and concepts of modulation.Furthermore, this paper introduced the hardware level and the principle of common modules of digital satellite TV set-top box reception system. Then, by studying the Conexant Company's CX24142 MPEG/QPSK as the main source decoder chip on STB board, we will research the hardware layer module of the Conexant reception system hardware layer module.Finally, after researching the hardware level of the Conexant STB, this paper make a further analysis about the front-end driver architecture of the Conexant STB. Then, this paper illustrated main realization of the front end driver layer functions,and gave the pseudo-code of these functions. |
