The main work of teacher is to impart knowledge to students. In traditional education, teachers usually pay more attention to explicit-knowledge, but ignore the implicit-knowledge and connection between them. This weakness not only makes students difficult to build up their knowledge structures, but also depresses the teaching efficiency. On the other hand, it's meaningful to show the features of implicit-knowledge, which hide in the explicit-knowledge. Therefore, constructing a visual knowledge model to express the configuration of the knowledge intuitively is a very effective way for teaching and the research of knowledge.Research and implementation of visual knowledge modeling is a knowledge expression model.The model based on the comparison of knowledge expression theory and techniques reflects the basic thought in which the Constructivism theory and Object Oriented idea and techniques is applied on knowledge expression. The project discusses the knowledge configuration system in four parts gradually. Firstly, it analyses the modern knowledge expression and problems which exist in knowledge expression, and discusses the correlative theory and techniques. Secondly, the project puts forward and explains the knowledge expression model, discusses the advantages and meanings of the model. In the process of the implementation of the model, the project uses the OOA to analyse the class, property and method from the model, it states how to deal with the basic data such as primitive objects and knowledge point, and how to realize the face of the model. At this part, it not only designs the suitable data structures and algorithm, but also researches the various techniques, such as UML technique, ADO module technique and VC programming technique. Lastly, by running a sample model, it introduces the methods to use the knowledge modeling, and validate the feasibility and validity of the model.Compare to normal knowledge expression model, the visual knowledge modeling is more comprehensive, more intuitional, easier to use and more convenient to transplant, using the visual knowledge modeling in education can dynamically reflect the instance about how well teachers grasp the implicit-knowledge and explicit-knowledge. And also can reflect the understanding of configuration between knowledge and knowledge. The visual knowledge modeling has advantage in intuition, individuation. It is very important for students to construct the knowledge, it also has advantage in application value and prospect.
