The Research Of VR-based Scene Navigating System

The virtual navigating system use the virtual-reality technology to present the scenic spot again in the environment of computer. So visitors can enjoy themselves in the virtual scene without having to go out.This paper introduces the virtual walkthrough technology and realized a virtual scene navigation system.In this thesis, with virtual scene touring system as research purpose, several key techniques of virtual environment touring based on image are studied, which include image morphing, image interpolation, image mosaicing and panoramic image generation.Image-based Rendering and Geometry Modeling based Rendering are reviewed and compared .The advantages of Image- based Rendering in the field of virtual scene generation are described.Existing image mosaicing is discussed and realized a mosaic algorithm based on area. study on panorama creating is performed,especially the cylinder panoramic image generation . The back projection algorithm is studied too.
