Armed helicopter is important mobile power in modern war, and also be main targets of attacked, The IR point source guided missile is main threat of helicopter, For improve the exist ability of helicopter in the battlefield and jam IR guided missiles , equip IR Countermeasures system is the best way .Helicopter-borne IR Countermeasures System include IR decoy flare and IR jammer and is a part of Helicopter-borne electronics self-defense system ,this fact becomes a very important symbol of modern military affairs . After the Gulf War , a great number of IR Countermeasures Systems have been used in many country's Helicopter.The efficiency evaluation is a key technique in the study of IR Countermeasures system , through in the process of the research experiment and check . For the study of system provide the theories experiment data and check method.The jamming effectiveness for Helicopter-borne IR Countermeasures System is influenced by various factors , include infrared radiation characteristic of armed helicopter, physics characteristic of IR decoy flare, military tactics operation method jamming mode of jammer.In this paper, the development and application of IR Countermeasures System, infrared suppression technology for helicopter, modes and developing tendency of IR point source guided missile , basic characteristic of IR decoy flare , basic characteristic of IR jammer were introduced. Jamming Principle of IR point source guided, Jamming Principle of IR decoy flare, Principle of IR jammer , experiment the method of jamming effectiveness for IR decoy flare, experiment the method of jamming effectiveness for IR jammer were studied.Base on these factors , anti-jamming technology of IR point source guided missile were analyzed, the military tactics model of IR decoy flare and assessment criteria of jamming effectiveness for IR jammer were brought forward.
