Study On Business Intelligence Implementation Strategy And Its Application

Business Intelligence (BI) helps enterprises integrate data for deep analyses to achieve intelligent decision-making. However, the current BI implementation process is nonstandard and high cost, which will easily lead to failure of the whole project; hence an effective BI construction strategy and a BI implementation process control solution become necessary.In this paper, BI construction strategy and BI implementation process are studied, and several cases on implementation are analyzed, on whose basis, an implementation strategy and a standardized process control solution are inproved which are of significance in guiding implementation of BI. The specific work is as follows:1) The key technologies of BI and the defects of current implementation process are analyzed, and then the study area is cleared.2) Several traditional construction strategies of systems engineering are improved based on characters of BI. These improved Strategies including: Project Management Strategy of BI, Prototype Construction Strategy of BI, Collaborative Strategy of BI implementation, Risk Aversion Strategy of BI.3) The implementation process of BI is divided into several key flows, activities in each flow are defined. Then a standardized BI process control solution is presented.4) The improved construction strategy and process control solution of BI is applied to the implementation of a network performance analysis system based on Microsoft OLAP, U-Soft Aurora ETL and U-Soft ABIS. This application has achieved a better effect in progress, cost, function and performance than before.
