Data Warehouse Based Strategic Performance Evaluation System For Banking

Performance evaluation is the strategy oriented management system in enterprises. It is the key to enterprise management but a difficult process. The advanced banks oversea have finished the strategic performance evaluation system based on the balance scorecard. However, in our domesitic banks there is still big gap in the management thinking, system designing, evaluation technology, and implementation way. This gap impresses the improvement the banks'strategy management and profit capability.Increasingly the data warehouse technology is applied for information process and analysis in recent years. It is better choice to build the performance and the decision-making support system for enterprises.The aim of this thesis is to build an adaptive strategic performance evaluation system for banks. Combined the information technology with enterprise management, we try to design and develop an advanced strategic performance system based on the data warehouse technology for the banking.Based on the banks'performance evaluation researches, we design a system framework for banking, including indexes, evaluation techniques, and their implementation strategies. This system assimilates advanced thinking and technology such as the performance evaluation, the balance scorecard, strategy management and the risk management etc.Subsequently, in this thesis we show the process of building the system with data warehouse technology. We explain main processes and the key works including the business requirement analysis, data modeling, system design and implementation. In addition, we summary the questions and deficiencies in the process of system design and popularization, and further research works.
