The world nowadays is becoming the 'Global Village' like McLuhan described. The trend of Globalization can not be stopped no matter how the protesters repel. The connection among nations is becoming more and more tight, however, strangeness, estrangement, misunderstanding even opposition are still there among nations. So the ceaseless communication and understanding are always necessary.People depend on the mass media to get the information needed, especially on international issues. So how we imagine the world outside depend largely on how the mass media describe the world As a result, it is very important to compare and analysis the way the media of different countries 'frame' the international issues so as to see the object world clearly and improve the way we report the international issues. This thesis is based on the frame theory. It takes the report on DPRK first nuclear test in Oct. 2006 by People's Daily Online and NY Time web for example. Though the analysis by SPSS, it discusses the differences of the international issues frames that used by Chinese and American media and advances some suggestion that is useful for Chinese international reporting.
