The Research And Development On The Software System Of DPTV Based-on ST Platform

With the development of technology, Our TV system is in its transition from analog TV to digital TV in recent years. This is deemed to be the second technology revolution on TV system after the transition from black-and-white TV system to color TV system.Without question, digital TV is the direction of TV system. However, there are some problems in the transition from analog TV to digital TV because of the popularization of analog TV. We need a transitional product to make our transition more stably. That is Digital Processing TV( DPTV ). With a view to the situation of our country, DPTV will still be dominate in domestic TV market in the coming several years.We adopt the solution based on CTV100 platform which is provided by STMicroelectronics Inc.(ST). It is a two-chip solution, the core chips are STV2310 and STV3500. STV2310 can receive all kinds of analog TV signals, convert analog signal to digital signal and process the digital signal. STV3500 has a ST20 32-bit CPU core inside it. It can process the digitize signal to improve picture quality. In addition, STV3500 can be used to provide the fire-new wonderful TV menu because of its own OSD generator and Picture Compositor (mixing four planes).This dissertation introduces the system design based on the CTV100 platform, including the establishment of hardware platform and the development & realization of software system. It explores the characteristic of the software system and the RTOS OS20 which is adopted by this platform, the realization of video process module &sensor module, the technical problem in product development, the debug tools and the way how to debug.This dissertation is a product project. According to the design demand of our client, we have developed the functional specimen and now it is produced pilot.
