Based Sti5105 Set-top Boxes, Network Applications And Vod Module

In the era of Internet, cable TV show strong comprehensive network resource advantage, cable television has a new vitality. Digital set-top boxes as an integrated business promotion-home platform, has been more and more widely used. Telecommunications, television, Internet merge together , just HFC network development, play is the trend of development of information technology. To access Ethernet, besides of being able to realize the television signals to decode and render its contents, enabling users to have access to high quality digital TV programs, but also can enjoy various Internet application service.Based on this demand, this thesis designed and implemented on a digital set-top box Ethernet access capabilities, the principal tasks are as follows:(l) the design of hardware is the solution based on SMSC's LAN9220 Ethernet Controller.(2) the design of software part includes LwIP protocol stack of transplantation, application software design, and integration of the middleware :IPANEL. In which pairs of LwIP transplant protocol stack, provides a detailed analysis, including the protocol stack and drivers, OS20 operating system interface to the code implementation and modification.(3) discusses the core technology of VOD, and VOD set-top boxes has been studied and put forward a viable VOD implementations.(4) To integrate the Ethernet access system and test it. Proposed system testing program , the test results is shown and performance of the system is analyzed. After the transplant protocol stack of network,the network status tests and a web application test were finished, so that we would have a relatively intuitive feelings to the characteristics of the interactive set-top boxes, and preliminary experienced the interactive set-top box charm.
