With the trench of even higher system integrations and faster clock frequencies, signal integrity problems of the high speed interconnections have become more and more severe. Simulations and measurements increase rapidly. However, the automation level of EDA tools available present is not high enough and their data process capability is not strong enough either. Most of these tools are designer dependent. In addition, many customer specified functions are not available in these EDA tools. When a larger number of nets are simulated, it will take a lot of time and human resources. Thereby, the efficiency of the products design is lowered, and the time to market will be delayed.A signal integrity simulation automation platform is proposed in this dissertation to improve the simulation efficiency. The implementation scheme of the automation platform is given based on the Cadence signal integrity simulation software. Its aim is to develop a better solution for the aforementioned problems. The customer's specifications are fully considered in the automation platform. The dissertation is organized as follow. In chapter I, signal integrity analysis fundaments are introduced. Transmission line theory and reflection on single net are put forward in this chapter. The high level structure of the Signal Integrity Simulating Automatization Platform (SISA) and its modules partition are discussed in chapter II. In chapter III, the establishment of the public waveform data structure that is used in the SISA platform is discussed in detail. The waveform analysis automation technique and the waveform vector save technique are also proposed. Finally, in chapter IV, a simplified introduction of the user interface of SISA software and how to perform simulation is made. And some possible signal integrity simulation techniques which would be used in the future are discussed.
