A new type of voice value-added service platform, which is called VAS_InfoX platform, is proposed in this paper on the basis of analyzing the advantage and disadvantage of three type of voice value-added service platform. The architecture of VAS_InfoX platform, which includes two set of architectures, namely prophase and anaphase architecture respectively, is designed to own the features of service independence and extensible resource scale for the purposes that the investment cost and risks of new services can be reduced greatly. The scale of prophase architecture is comparatively small while anaphase architecture can embody the advantages of NGN model. In order to guarantee the platform's stability, a couple of CTI server is used to share the burden with the collaboration of software system used for updating the database server synchronously.The design of four critical modules in VAS_InfoX platform is the emphasis in this paper. System Communication Module (SCM), which borrows ideas from UMC in the CELL-SIN system, is designed to aim at communications between modules and high efficiency of development. In SCM, module address book is designed to identify the address of modules conveniently and mechanism of message translation which is similar to the mechanism of feedback to guarantee data stream's delivery efficiently and reliably. In Core Control Module (CCM), the flow of CCM control is designed with the channel resource table, service table and data structure of telephone subscriber. After analyzing two sorts of current XML interpreter, this paper adopts Simple Application Interface for XML (SAX) interpreter. In System Resource Module (SRM), the protocols of message and the structure of message content is designed.
