Research On Softswitch Network And Realization Of Value-Added Services

Along with the variety of the market and technical progresses, the traditional PSTN can not adapt to the new demand of services, NGN and Softswitch has become a successful solution for PSTN to provide multi-media and value-added services.This paper is focused on the research of Softswitch and implementation of some value-added services. The first chapter and second chapter describe the development process of the telecommunication network, including various techniques appearing in the process of development of the telecommunication network, such as Computer Telephony Integration(CTI), the next generation network(NGN) and Softswitch. The third chapter introduces the construction of Hebei Netcom Softswitch network。The fourth and fifth chapter present design and implementation of Softswitch-based telecommunication value-added platform. The entire platform is independent from functional components, including call agent media gateways, signaling gateways, authentication / authorized / billing servers and database servers. The detailed implementation of various functional components using different communication protocols is given, including call procedure under the control of agents to work together. The platform has been proved to be a good solution to provide a variety of value-added services.
