| Cell Library is the base of the method based on standard cell in IC design. Today, the technology of IC design has developed rapidly. How to develop cell library for new technology and how to migrate in being cell library to meet the requirement of new technology, it will influence the development of IC design industry. In order to meet the requirement of civil enterprise on IC design, the author decides to develop the software on characterize of cell library. This software has some excellent characteristics such as automatization, shorter time and highly precision.Firstly, the author describes the scope of application, the flow of characterize, the function models and the theory of design.In the third chapter, according to the research on cell characteristics, by experiments, through academic analysis, the author provides new method which use multi-lookup models to build linearity lookup tables on creation of cell library. By this method, the precision of cell library will be highly promoted. In addition, the author also provides a simply method about selecting sample points on the curved surface.In the fourth chapter, the author does some researches on extraction of characteristic parameters of cell, specially on sequential logic cell. He brings forward a method to create excitation waves automatically according to the type of cell and characteristic parameter. Manual operation can be reduced as lowly as possible.In the fifth chapter, documents creation of cell library is main content. The author adopt Velocity template engine based on JAVA in order to replace characteristic parameters expediently. Finally, the author summarizes this thesis and points out the direction of this work. |
