ICP spectrometer is widely used in chemical analysis.Because of it have manyadvantages, such as excitation ability, can trace multi-element analysis and stronganti-interference ability. With the rapid development of spectroscopy, the industry’srequirements for analytical instruments have gradually increased. Currently, due to the imposesome restrictions on space and time, the workers not only to go to the harsh environment areasurveying, but also to be responsible for unexpected emergencies tasks of site analysis. whiletraditional ICP spectrometry equipment due to the use restrictions of size and conditions,itCan only be used for laboratory testing, can not meet the requirements of portable orvehicle-mounted mobile site inspection, so the instrument is tend to be miniaturization andportability. The excitation source is one of the important components of the spectrometer,which in the spectral sensitivity of the stability space play a decisive role in a way. The birthof a new excitation source will usher in the new spectrometer.Mentor team developed an ICP excitation source, which is based on the gold plated PCB technology. On this basis, the micro-ICP Excitation source cooperates with miniature fiber optic spectrometer, set up a mini-ICP spectrometer experiment platform. Test some of gas samples, to study the performance of the excitation of the excitationsource. In this study, argon as a carrier gas, excite the methane gas, get some spectraldata, and compare with the previous experimental data, verify that the Excitation source can be qualitative judgment the methane. For the first time,use the micro-ICP excitation source excite the ammonia gas and nitrogen gas,and get a stable plasma source, detected9ammonia spectral,14nitrogen spectra. Indicating that the excitation source has the ability to excite ammonia and nitrogen, can qualitative analysis of these two gases, and we can be determined from the experimental data that ammonia easier ionization.Research group analysis the operating parameters of the carrier gas work in earlier stage.On this basis, this paper studied the operating parameters for excitation source excited the gas.The operate parameter contains RF (Radio Frequency, RF) power and work pressure.Studythe working parameter’s influence of the spectral intensity and electron temperature.Experimental results show that between the power5-25w, pressure40-120Pa the spectralintensity obvious,and the electron temperature is between3000K-6000K,this is the optimal operating range of the excitation source to excite the sample, may be appropriate adjustmentsdepending on the sample in this interval.
