With the rapid development of civil aviation and augmenting of air traffic flow and its complexity, there are much more strict requirements imposed on ATC controllers, so it is urgent to take modern measures to train ATC controllers. As a result of this new tendency described above, the research on ATC simulation training that can provide ATC controllers with a comprehensive, safe and effective approach is becoming a focus.This thesis mainly discusses the software architecture of new generation of CDZS tower simulator, its simulation core and simulated models.Tower simulator is a real-time simulation system. For a large number of simulated objects involved and their complex behaviors, it is tough to design the system. In order to design the simulation core in a more efficient way, we use Object-Oriented Modeling (ROOM) approach in design of the system and successfully implement ROOM automaton in C++. Tower simulator is a sophisticated system among all the ATC simulators. Aiming at the complexity of Tower Simulation System, we present a layer-based software architecture of simulation core that is decomposed into four layers: instruction interpreter, state-transition layer, simulated data accessor and simulated calculator.
