Virtual Reality (VR) is a new technology, which constructs a virtual scene with allkinds of advanced computer software and hardware technologies to realize naturalenvironment simulation and to supply a real-time vivid experience. It is a 3-dimensionalhuman-machine interaction interface. Based on multi-sensors and user's own feelings,he/she can go into the virtual world watching and manipulating the objects, and can be alsoinvolved in the virtual events with human natural abilities. Now, the VR has alreadyexpanded to many fields from the military application as aerospace, industry design,manufacture, information management, business, medical treatment, education andentertainment.Based on current internal and external development and use of the specificcircumstances of the tank training simulator, then, make a design of a new type of tankintegrated virtual reality training simulation platform. In the end, the visual scene part ofsimulation is presented by using the more popular virtual reality software developmentMultiGen Creator and Vega.This paper includes five parts. In the first part, a brief introduction to the backgroundand research meaning of the selected title. In the second part, mainly introduce thecharacteristics, system construction and Virtual visual simulation technology, together, theresearch and development of Virtual Reality in military is presented. In the third part, theMultiGen Creator and Vega modeling technology is discussed, we discuss the systemconstruction of MultiGen Creator, the structure of OpenFlight format and the keytechnology of MultiGen Creator. Followed, the construction of Vega is introduced, firstlywe discuss Vega special effect model, then we put emphasis on hierarchical structure ofVega class and the basic class of Vega. The fourth part is the emphases of this paper. First,the design ideas of the integrated training simulator virtual simulation system of tank wasdescribed in detail. Then it's visual system for needs analysis, Later research usingMultigen Creator and Vega on the virtual simulator visual system is now, as well as somefunctions of achievement. The last part of the paper we give forecast on the application ofthis simulator and the future prospects for improving the work.
