The Design About Receiving And Transmitting Modules Of Wireless Automatic Meter Reading System Based On ZigBee

This article mainly talks about the design of receiving and transmitting module for wireless automatic meter reading system based on ZigBee coupled with the characteristic and application of this new wireless access technology --ZigBee.ZigBee is a sort of wireless access technology focusing on low bit rate, low-power and short-distance. It is a wireless network protocol specifically designed for low rate sensor and control networks. Compared to other wireless protocols, the ZigBee wireless protocol offers low complexity, reduced resource requirements and most importantly, a standard set of specifications. It also offers three frequency bands of operation along with a number of network configurations and optional security capability.This article emphasizes particularly on the design of receiving and transmitting module. The Coordinator and RFD (Reduced Function Device) are composed of a piece of motherboard and RF card. It can receive and transmit signal through the RF card which is drove by the motherboard. The Coordinator establishes a new network firstly , the RFD applies to join the network.
