Based The Zigbee Technology Wireless Meter Reading System

Wireless technologies are being embedded into a growing number of products, ranging from consumer to industrial markets. For a lot of applications low power consumption, enabling battery-powered devices is a key issue. The ZigBee standard is therefore likely to become a key factor to the growth of the future wireless home and building automation applications, where products from different manufacturers needs to be able to communicate with each other.Zigbee is one of the short-distance wireless transmitting technology booming in these years. The automatic meter reading system is intelligent administrated one, which is no use of reading by man in the field. In recent year, the technology spreads out in the world very quickly. The automatic meter reading system will lead the way in future, not only because of strengthening the administration on electronic consumption, but also raising efficiency of electricity supply. It is meaningful for improving the administration standard and economic benifits in electricity field.ZigBee technology is used adaptively in wireless automatic meter reading system. However, the problems of power supply, implementing ZigBee stack and coordination of energy-saving mechanism at all levels and the automatic network formation, need to be solved in order to establish a system by means of ZigBee. This article puts emphsis on how to realize the whole system and how to work according the limited software and hardware.Under these circumstances, the design of ZigBee wireless electronic meter reading system is my main target. The main problems I want to solve are as follow:Analyse the developed circumstance of the automatic meter reading system and compare several transmission technologies.Discuss the important technologies in the ZigBee transmission system designed.Design the hardware and software upon the limited condition.Do research on the system by experience and analyse dependability and time-consumption and safety.
