Research Of Concurrent Integration Techniques For CAD/CAPP/CAM Based On PDM

After many years'development and successful application in enterprises, the systems of CAD, CAPP, and CAM have respectively played a significant role in the fields such as automatic product design, automatic technique process and automatic numerical control programming. These systems have become the inseparable parts in the area of information administration in an enterprise. However, each of these systems is independent and cannot realize automatic transmission and share information with each other. Therefore, only through seeking to find a kind of technology that is capable of not only safely but also efficiently managing or controlling relevant data and process, can we better an enterprise's operating efficiency, productive benefit as well as the competitive ability in market. The technology of PDM (Product Data Management) is just born and developing under such circumstances.
