CAD&CAPP Integration Based On PDM

Along with the application of CAD CAPP ERP, the integration of those systems must be done. First of all, the product data of CAD is needed by CAPP, and the product data of CAPP is shared by the ERP. Meanwhile, the data of CAPP, ERP must be used by other production and management Departments. Since the product designing and processing are in the beginning of producing, the data is the source of enterprise information system. So, the integration of CAD/CAPP is very important for the enterprise.First, the surveys of CAD CAPP PDM are given. The models of integration based on PDM system are emphasized: Packaging, Interface and None gap.Second, this thesis proposes 3 theories of Integration in the world: the integration based on STEP (Standard for the Exchanged of Product Data) , the integration based on CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) , the integration based on the model of integrating data. The product data structure and its feature are analyzed. BOM (Bill Of Material ) is used to describe and organize the data of product, in this thesis, the different architectures BOM are brought out.In the following, the design solution of this integration system is given based on the above system architecture and the Harbin Boiler Company Limited (HBC)'s situations. Indicate the solution of Integration of CAD/CAPP Base on PDM. The solution also concerns some Code Standard of HBCCIMS. The implementation solution is proposed and the implementing interface data and their database structure are described.Finally, a conclusion about the PDMbased integration system of CAD&CAPP designed and implemented in this thesis is made.
