The Parts Management Software Development Based On Pro/E

Three-dimensional CAD software has been greatly used in the project, and some of them has been imbedded with the part library or has offered the part library by the customized development. However, because these part libraries are seldom extensible, users can not add new parts and manage the part library conveniently. Users can not maintain the part library under the environment of network either. Therefore these inconveniences hinder the application and popularization of three-dimensional CAD software to a certain extent.Because of matters mentioned above, my task is to build three-dimensional parameterized part library management system. This system adopts Pro/ENGINEER as CAD platform, and has set up the standard part library and user-defined part library. Provided that you choose the part or you input related part information, this system can realize the modeling of the part automatically.Because SQL Server has powerful function in data management, the data this system uses is all saved in SQL Server database. This makes the data independent on program, and can carry high-efficient management to the part library. With data management system, designer can add, modify and delete the part information conveniently, and realize maintaining and expansion of the part library. With the function of setting authority, administrator can assign and manage the authority of different users. So it ensures that parameterized library runs safely, reliably and effectively.The establishment of parts library under Internet environment is also attempted in this thesis.
