The entity characters of mechanical parts are modified difficultly in parametric software circumstance nowadays if they have complex bend and the bend is modified,so the design efficiency of these parts is very low. Aim at solving the difficulties, the thesis has established an automatization modling design system for gear. It based on Pro/TOOLKIT that is a tool used for secondary development in the circumstance of Pro/ENGINEER and the system inherits the parametic modeling characteristic of Pro/ENGINEER. It is developed with VC++6.0 and is based on Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0. Running the automatization modling design system,it will automatically found entity model of gear with some needed parameters that we input in user interface of the program.The whole geometry modeling process is kept in the program,user need not concer with it.The system can increase the efficiency of parts update design and improve the design validity on the course of gear parts design.At the same time,the method of automatization modling design have being spreaded value.We must define the assembly restriction among the parts to assemble parts in PRO/E circumstance.If inch of part replaced influence assembly connection,the assemblage drawing will produce error in the process in which part is replaced.This thesis put forward a method that can hold inhere relation of part parameter and assembly connection in course of part replace.The method come true with compiling code that guarantee the special assembly connection based on the program function of PRO/E.If assembly possess of this property that is provided by the user code, PRO/E will clue to new parameter that need be input by user when assembly regenerat after part has be replaced,and the code can adjust asembly connection according to the scheduled alteration means of asembly,then create preconcerted assembly of deviser.Using program deviser can decide the entity appear or not in part and the part appear or not in assembly,and can decide the measurement and the number of parts.
