This paper introduces the design of an Embedded IP core that basing on CPLD/FPGA.Base on expounding PLC and its developing trend, it investigates IP Reuse methodology, complex MCU design and the requirement of the transfers and dealing speed of digital signal.Combine internal and overseas adhibition status, Embedded IP core module is brought forward. In this paper we discuss how to develop program of embedded module in CPLD/FPGA and it also intrduces some design information. The objective is to develop an USB IP module based on CPLD/FPGA and to let the communication between FPGA board and PC computer come true. First design step is hardware design. That means to expand the FPGA board to an expansion board. Second step is FPGA digital design on FPGA with ISE software. After software design, we get the function of communication between FPGA board and PC computer by downloading bitstream files created after Configuration into the FPGA broad through JTAG cable.This design has very high usability. It further expands the territory of programmable chip, push the complex special chip to high and the ultra complex application, and it enables the IP Reuse to obtain more universal application. It also put forward a broader approach to a new embedded system design.
