Programmable Logic Controller is a kind of universal industrial control apparatus, which taking microprocessor as its core, integrating information technology, automation control technology, networking communication technology. It is applied in more and more industry control fields with the characteristics such as easy application, easy maintenance, well reliability, high performance-price ratio.The monitoring and controlling system by connecting PLC with other intelligent apparatus and personal computer can improve automation of devices and informization ofmanagement,therefore has a wide application prospect in industry control fields . The thesis was based on design and implementation of the electroless nickel plating line monitoring system of Shenzhen Kaifa Magnetic Recording Co., Ltd. We studied the technologies of the monitoring and control system in field level and in management level,formulated a improving scheme of PLC Position Control Sytem and established a new method to build the PLC-based monitoring sytem. The monitoring sytem in the two levels were finished.The main controller of the system is OMRON CS1H-CPU65H PLC.The PLC controller was connected to three hoist slave stations via wired remote I/O bus, 16 OMRON temperature controllers via RS-485 bus and OMRON NT631C programmable terminals via RS232/RS422 bus,respectively.PLC communicated with temperature controllers using protocol macros,and programmable terminals using OMRON NT-Link protocol.By creating many PLC programs and HMI screen programs, we constructed the workshop-level monitoring system controlled by programmable terminals.After analysing the basic procedure for data-link communication between PLC and personal computer via OMRON Controller Link netwok,creating program for mornitoring system with Visual C++6.0 and ADO,we implemented remote controlling of automation devices by upper computer.Application of the PLC-based monitoring sytem maintained continuous normal running of automation devices and brought out significant effects.
