Basing on the telecom network of Nanning Telecom Company, in this article, author makes sufficient analysis on its network quality and concerned business, furthermore, hands in the practical network construction scheme. This article includes eight parts: preface, business analysis in Metropolitan Area Network (MAN), requirement analysis for network capability, analysis for current network, principle of layout, technology selection, and practical network construction plan, facility selection and configuration.Current and future business of Nanning Telecom MAN include: basic voice business, WLAN, internet business, VPN, 3G, value-added business and so on. The comprehensive business transmission network has already become the trend and inevitability of network construction. The content requirement of core layer of Nanning Telecom MAN exceeds 10G loop content. So TC-layer should develops into multi-loop structure and protect connection is convenient with Access Stratum .The transmission facility of Nanning Telecom MAN mainly comes from Huawei. The exist problem as below: (1) unreasonable network charge, (2) huge number of core node circuit, (3) complex circuit control,(4) although it can be reloaded by the function of loop recover when Fibre failure, it is unable to make sure the security of all facilities in error or damaged situation,(5) the requirement of circuit is so huge that the expend capability of network keep increasing,(6) the ability to support business is limited.Currently, the main technology of MAN transmission include: MPLS, MSTP, DWDM, CWDM. Depending on multi business and meeting the requirement of 3G, MSTP will be the core technology of Nanning Telecom MAN.The practical construction plan is: adopting on the hierarchical network structure, it is divide into three layers: core layer, TC layer and Access Stratum. The core layer will adopt big capability ADM system (Oplix OSN 9500) from Huawei. The network of TC-layer is formed four 10GB/s loop system by Double Home mode and core layer node. AS network will be built up an AS circuit control panel basing on Nanning Telecom No 1 hinge and No 2 hinge engineering.
