Improved Design And Implementation Of Vega Grid Router

Grid is a heterogeneous, dynamic distributed system, and it has two main characters: resource sharing and collaboration. The information service is one of the core components in the Grid. VEGA Grid gave the concept of Grid router: a fully distributed information service component which works similar to IP router. In order to demonstrate the benefit of this component and provide use case, we designed and implemented a Grid-based online game service platform, called Vega Game Grid. Considering the problems occurred in the application of Grid router, we improved the design and implementation of Grid router. This dissertation includes the following original works: 1) to support multi-player game, we designed and implemented game groups for all game players on the game Grid. 2) Improved the Grid router based on IP and UDP protocols: implemented resource request and transfer with UDP protocol; enabled measuring the physical network distance between Grid routers with IP protocol; resources need not to manually register on Grid router. 3) Proposed and implemented several methods to improve the SD-RT algorithm with the graph traverse algorithm.
