Mass media is an important approach to the indirect formation of stereo-types. Through those related descriptions and reports in mass media, people have developed permanent opinions and summarized impression on various communities of society, called stereo-types. Stereo-types sometimes appear in positive by helping information build-ups, so people can judge a person quickly based on stereo-types and take their corresponding actions. Yet the negative influence on mass media is much worse. Therefore, stereo-types usually can not reflect or reveal social realities.People developed the impression of female college students group (including female postgraduates) mainly based on the news media description in china. Media may not intend to be ill-intentioned to female college students. However, The group image of female college students was affected by the large member negative reports from news media indeed, and tend to be in a trend of alienated. Unconsciously influenced by news media, the public developed stereo-types in regards to female college students group. Thus on the one hand, the media does not reflect the realities and truth; on the other hand, it is likely to mislead the society to misunderstand female college students, which in turn results harms to the development of those female students.It's hard to deny the relationships between the gender discrimination in news...
