Along with the development of science and technology,especially the development of aviation and aerospace,the demand of storage speed,capacity,the power consuming and reliability of mass storage of image become higher and higher,the main task of my research is how to design high quality mass storage of image.During the forepart,the main technology mass storge of image is magnet recorder.By reason of solid state recorder(SSR) without machine parts,little cubage and convenient reading &storing, SSR become the main technology of image storage. Because of none volatility,low power consuming,large capacity of per cell ,Flash memory become the main storage medium of SSR.In this paper ,we design a mass storage of image based on Flash memory ,The hard ware design and software design is introduced particularly. The system is composed of Data-input module,Memory controller,Flash array and Data-output module etc.The system includes 3 PCBs,in order to minish the phycics dimension and facilitate debugging,we adopt cascade method to connect these PCBs.In order to connect to CCD camera and improve compatibility,Camera-Link is adoptted ,on the other hand ,the system connect to computer with USB 2.0 which makes the system convenience in use USB 2.0 can transfer data by high speed . In order to resolve the slow speed of storing and meet the need of high speed , High-Band-Buses technology and pipeline technology is adoptted to improve the system storing speed .On the other hand ,in order to resolve the invalid blocks of Flash memory and improve the reliability of system redundancy design is adoptted. The capacity of the system is 32G bits.The max store speed is 352Mb/s .It can meet the need of high speed .the max read speed is 290Mb/s.
